News Habitat
Work Day - It is confirmed that the Cooperative has a work
day with Habitat for Humanity on Friday, September 17th in Madison
Heights. In May we had representatives from five Cooperative
churches involved - can we make it all nine this time?
There will be two new houses started the Monday before our work day and
the major tasks should be siding installation and interior detailing
for rough inspection. Details on worker sign-up will be
emailed to those receiving this note and will also be posted here on
the Cooperative website when our exact work location is established.
We will also provide snacks and noon sack lunches - Clawson UMW has
already commited to support the food effort and I am sure others will
be jumping in to assist once the exact details are finalized.
South
Oakland Shelter (SOS) - In the past three Cooperative
member churches have each hosted SOS for a week at a time each year,
two weeks in January and one in October. Planning for 2011
may include more Cooperative church involvment. As those
plans evolve, you can learn more about SOS and other ways you
can support SOS by checking out their website at

Three preview/information sessions will be held at the church
at 7:00 pm each day on
